SILVERTON FIREHALL WILDFIRE RESILIENCY GARDEN UPDATE

The Silverton Wildfire Resiliency Demonstration garden is almost complete!!

Our Landscaper Ray Nikkel has finished planting the garden and it looks fabulous. We are so pleased with the end result and look forward to seeing locals and visitors enjoying this new space.

We think this is a wonderful example of how beautiful the area around your home can look while implementing Firesmart landscaping practices.

We have installed two educational signs, one for the mitigation carried out on the Firehall itself and one for the garden.

The garden sign offers an overview of the practices used in creating the garden and the types of plants we selected and why.

Our custom built benches and picnic tables are almost ready and will be installed shortly bringing this project into full completion.
