HILLS COMMUNITY PARK DEMONSTARTION SITE

In the Spring of this year SIFCo completed a Type 1 Treatment in the Hills area as part of a demostration site project.

The Site surrounded the Hills Firehall and therefore will help to protect this piece of critical infrastructure within the Hills community from the threat of wildfire.

Our Type one Treatment involves our hand crew going into the area and thinning the trees from below, removing the small trees and leaving the large trees standing.

We are very happy with the results and feel this project will help to achieve our wildfire reduction and climate change adaptation goals within the treated area.
