SLOCAN VALLEY WILDFIRE RESILIENCY OPEN HOUSE

SIFCo is working with the communities in the Slocan Valley to improve wildfire hazard reduction information and activities. Residents of the area are invited to come to one of the two events to be held at the end of September.

SLOCAN - Sept 28th, Legion 10am - 3 pm

SILVERTON/NEW DENVER - Sept 29th, Silverton Memorial 10am - 3 pm.

Events will include:

- Industry specialists presenting on different aspects of the impact and mitigation strategies related to wildfire.

- On site demos of fuel management areas and the home assessment process.

- Light lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

- Q&A with industry experts.
