Sold-Out Conference brings over 200 delegates to Nelson

Wildfires and climate change are realities in British Columbia and they can have dramatic impacts on our lives. The conference aimed at addressing these issues by bringing multi agencies and residents together to tackled some of these pressing questions.

We shared the latest scientific research and initiatives from the Kootenay's and the international arena regarding climate change, wildfire behaviour and why taking action at a landscape scale will result in a more resilient ecosystem said Stephan Martineau Manager of SIFCo. The conference was hosted by SIFCo and the Ministry Of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development and was a great success. It was so wonderful to see so many engaged people come together to learn about and discuss such an important topic.
