NEW DENVER WUI PROJECT COMPLETE

Yesterday saw the completion of the New Denver Wildland Urban Interface project carried out by SIFCo.

In total over 43 hectares of land were treated as part of our Slocan Valley Landscape Level Strategic Wildfire Protection Plan in order to reduce the risk of wildfire in the New Denver area.

The project started in the fall of 2016 and cost $430,000. "This is a huge success, the project went extremely well and we are very happy with the results" says Stephan Martineau (SIFCo's Manager).
