Luc Vreys Wood Sculpture

Luc Vreys is a wood sculpture and log home builder located in South Slocan. He moved from Belgium with his family 3 years ago where he did chainsaw carving for STIHL Belgium. For his sculptures his primary sources of wood are local stumps that are leftovers in the logging process as well as interestingly shaped logs that are not ideal for traditional timber market production. Sculptures he has produce include different forest animals – bears, deer and woodpeckers and he loves creating woodspirits, caricatures, wildlife scultures and benches.
