The Slocan Interface project on the east side of the highway has begun. The work will carry on until Christmas and then recommence in March of 2014. Thirty-five hectares of land will be treated, and the Village of Slocan will be a safer place with risk and consequences of wildfire being reduced.
After 15 months and a $400,000 investment, the Wildland-Urban Interface project south of Silverton is now completed: 47.5 hectares of land were treated. Thanks to the local community for your support and patience as we worked on this project!
